Our tally of Volunteer hours runs into several thousands. We undertake a wide variety of tasks from tree felling to painting a stunning mural to renovating a derelict building to hosting bat watching sessions - not to mention organising one of biggest canal festivals each year!

Having supported one village teenager, Grace, to acheive her Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award we now have 3 teenagers working hard to follow in her footsteps.

They are helping to maintain the Tunnel Spinney and Tunnel Hut to ensure they continue to be welcoming places for all of the community to use.

Sunday 13th September

Paul and Sarah Norman from Blisworth Canal Partnership have forged a great link with Costa Coffee (Northampton South). Today 6 keen volunteers, including manager Debbie spent
1 1/2 hours litter picking the Tunnel Car Park, the Tunnel Spinney and Car Park. They collected 3 bags full and had some fun along the way! Jan and Alan Andrews (Blisworth Canal Partnership) moored their boat by the Tunnel Hut and spruced up that area.

It is well known that Blisworth Canal Festival is a real community event. So many villagers get involved through different village groups, both of our Church teams work tirelessly, our local Scout Band practise and perform - the volunteer hours recorded for creating and running this brilliant festival are a total underestimate!
